The philosophy behind Steve Hill Construction Consulting, Inc. is simple when it comes to identifying the problems related to construction defects and deferred maintenance:

A lot of consultants and inspectors try to complicate the answer to the question in order to justify their billing, get the client more money than what they are entitled to or for other reasons not worth exploring. A professional investigator should not be motivated to do anything but tell the truth. In accordance with the SHCC mission of providing practical solutions to building performance issues, Mr. Hill has not invented a radical new approach to this issue. Instead, the SHCC approach is based upon the well-established scientific method for investigating, analyzing and formulating opinions in construction issues. SHCC, Inc. bills at an hourly rate, and is not compensated through commission nor on contingency.

The end result for the client is a truthful and objective answer to their construction-related questions and concerns.
