For expert witness services, the firm is licensed in California. However, it provides support and investigative services in Nevada and Arizona.

For multiple home investigations, as an expert witness, it is desirable to work on cases involving thirty-five homes or less. However, if a case starts out small and grows to a larger number, it is not a problem. The only reason for a suggested limit is that the investigation is conducted by the president of the firm exclusively, to insure direct knowledge of all aspects of the case. Therefore it is difficult to inspect 100 homes at a time and still keep up with other commitments.

SHCC Inc. is most experienced in plaintiff work (primarily representing homeowners), however the firm has successfully provided contractor defense (both general contractor and sub contractors), wrongful death investigation and criminal investigation (for the California Attorney General).
